Ford is trying to raise thousands for Pekin High School

PEKIN Ill -- The School is teaming up with Velde Ford in the Ford's Drive 4 Your School event.

For every every test drive taken, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Pekin High School Athletic Department for a maximum donation of $6,000.

"We're donating the money to the athletic department which I'm sure a lot of people know they a lot of times struggle with funding and that type of thing so we just want to help out and give back to the community," said Velde Ford employee, Lynzie Gruden.

"We'll find a good place for this money no matter how much it is. And I think it is just a great win for everybody concerned," said Pekin High School Athletic Director, Rick Kestner.

The event runs from 10 am until 2 pm tomorrow at Velde Ford in Pekin, and then moves to Pekin High School's circle drive starting at 4 pm.
